Atmosphere Investigation - 28/3/11

Atmosphere Investigation

Local time (Bangkok) : 13:50

On Monday we went in to the outdoor classroom in Bangkok Patana, to take a couple of measurements for our Atmosphere Investigation.

We observed the skies and saw that there were mainly Altostratus and Stratus clouds creating an overcast, we also checked for Contrails but there were none.

We measured the Barometric Pressure which was 1010 mbar. We also found out the Relative Humidity using a Sling Thermometer, our dry bulb temperature was 24 ºC  and the wet one was 19 ºC , meaning that the Relative Humidity was 62%. We also measured the Wind speed which was an average of 130 m/s.

Monday's Maximum Temperatures were 25ºC  and Lowest was 23 ºC. We also Investigated the Surface Temperatures using a IRT which was wrapped in Thermal Glove,  then taken from storage location site. We measured the surface Temperature of the ground around the outdoor classroom
